Marianne Schnall
is a widely published writer and interviewer whose writings and interviews have appeared in a variety of media outlets including O, The Oprah Magazine, TIME.com, In Style, CNN.com, EW.com, Refinery29, Forbes, the Women's Media Center, Thrive Global, and many others. Marianne is a featured blogger at The Huffington Post and a contributor to the nationally syndicated NPR radio show, 51 Percent: The Women's Perspective.
Schnall is the founder and Executive Director of Feminist.com, a leading women’s website and nonprofit organization. For over 20 years, Feminist.com has been fostering awareness, education, and activism for people all across the world. She is also the founder of What Will It Take movements, a new evolving platform that inspires, connects, and engages women everywhere to rise up in all levels of leadership. She is also the cofounder of EcoMall.com, one of the oldest environmental websites promoting earth-friendly living. She also currently serves as Senior Media and Communications Consultant to the Global Center for Gender Equality at Stanford University.
She is the host of the podcast ShiftMakers that highlights exclusive insights of luminaries and movement makers as they share wisdom on how to be an authentic changemaker today.
Marianne graduated from Cornell University with a BA in English, and she is also a graduate of the Women’s Media Center’s Progressive Women's Voices media and leadership training program. She is the recipient of UN Women's Champion of Change Award and was ranked as one of the top global “Real Leaders 100” by Real Leaders Magazine. She is also an awardee of the International Women’s Media Foundation's Howard G. Buffett Fund for Women Journalists. She has appeared on CNN, BBC News, and NPR and as a contributor for WAMC’s nationally syndicated show "51%".
Through her writings, interviews, and websites, Marianne strives to raise awareness and inspire activism around important issues and causes.
